Startup Communities

The existence of a supportive and well-networked startup community has a direct impact on increasing the confidence and growth propensity of entrepreneurs.

Startup Canada is connecting and empowering community champions with the tools, resources and networks to drive grassroots transformation and fuel vibrant entrepreneurial communities from the ground up in partnership with institutional and community actors across Canada.

In doing so, Startup Canada is broadening the traditional understanding of startup communities beyond the tech sector and is networking Canada’s communities to each other and to global sister cities to accelerate entrepreneurs’ access to  mentors, markets, capital and support for entrepreneurs – laying the foundations of Canada’s entrepreneurship infrastructure.
