With Halifax being one of the fastest-growing cities in the country, with a vibrant and dynamic environment, our mission will be to help the increasing entrepreneurial ecosystem within HRM (Halifax Regional Municipality). Karla Torres
Karla Schulze Torres and her family moved to Canada 9 years ago. They landed in Ottawa in 2013 and from there started their new journey. As a previous Marketing professional, with many years working in the IT industry, she was first a great support for her husband and two kids to get settled in a new country. Always very active in her community, she was named the 2018 Stittsville Citizen of the Year. When she decided to finally get back to work she happily accepted a job at the Ottawa Catholic School Board where she was able to work at schools for more then 4 years. She met a lot of immigrant families and she enjoyed helping them as much as she could. Last year Karla and her family moved again, but this time to another Canadian Province and they chose Nova Scotia to be the setting of the next chapter of the book that is their lives. She is now back on her career path and is the Marketing Director for Enara, an information technology company. Over her life (career and personal) she developed many skills, from marketing to communicating, but mostly making personal connections with everyone she meets.
