Startup Social Enterprise, a Startup Canada community driven by Social Venture Circuit, offers impact-driven founders with more strategic resources to grow and dedicated spaces to connect with like-minded changemakers and subject matter experts. Our aim is to bring more clarity and collaboration to Canada’s growing social enterprise sector.
Community Leader
Zahra Qureshi
Zahra Qureshi is an accountant turned social entrepreneur. She launched Optinum Professional Corp. in 2018 and her focus is to support social enterprises with effective business strategy development, financial planning and impact measurement for sustainable growth and impact. She is an experienced CPA, CMA and completed Canada’s first certification for professionals specifically serving the social enterprise sector. She also launched Social Venture Circuit in 2020 as a non-profit community for local social enterprises and is leading them to develop a strong membership group and educational resources.
