How to participate
Follow the steps below to participate in a #StartupChat event.
1. Login to Twitter
First, make sure you have a Twitter account. Every Wednesday at 12pm ET, login to your Twitter account and get ready for the first question that is posted at 12:05pm, under the hashtag #StartupChats.
2. Join the conversation
To find the hashtag, type #StartupChats in Twitter’s search bar and press Enter. Click on "Latest" to enter the conversation in real-time.
3. Reply or ask questions
Look out for the red question graphics from our account (@Startup_Canada), and click on the reply button to share your answer or ask a question. Be sure to include #StartupChats in all of your replies so everyone can see your tweets.
4. New question every 5 minutes
New questions are posted every five minutes from our account (@Startup_Canada). Question 1 will be posted at 12:05pm, Question 2 will be posted at 12:10pm, and so on until 12:45pm.
5. Open conversation
The last 15 minutes of the chat is an open conversation and is a great time to tag other participants, interact with our host and experts, and tweet any remaining questions or thoughts that you have with the hashtag #StartupChats.
6. Wrap up and register for next week’s chat
At 1pm ET, the chat ends. We encourage you to head back to this page and sign up for the next chat that interests you!
