About Startup PEI

Who we are

Startup PEI is an Inclusive Entrepreneurship organization dedicated to developing a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem across Prince Edward Island through small business development. We are committed to helping Island Entrepreneurs and Small Businesses fully explore their passions, dreams and new ideas to their full market potential, while connecting founders to local and national business development supports and resources to launch and grow their business. Our mission is to help entrepreneurs transform their ideas and dreams into innovative businesses that makes prosperity a reality. We facilitate innovative collaborations and opportunities at the local, national and global level, that enables our networks to sustainably serve highly diverse populations of entrepreneurs in communities across PEI. We are at the forefront of inclusive ecosystems building, with a goal of breaking down barriers to entrepreneurship through various initiatives that empowers local champions to create inclusive community building.

Nancy Guptill

With an Economic and Business Development background, Nancy Beth has been a founder and entrepreneur since her mid-teens. In her 30+ year career as an inclusive community builder and business consultant, she has helped successfully ideate and launch many start-up businesses and organizations for both herself and her clients. She is currently the Founder and Executive Consultant of Startup PEI, Sweet Spot Academy, and Include Summerside, as well as a co-founder of Age-Friendly PEI, and the President of the PEI Business Women’s Association and Lest We Forget Committee, as well as the Vice President of Gymnastics PEI.
