  • Free Event Access: Receive a complimentary pass to Startup Canada Tour. Between your shifts, you’re encouraged to attend keynotes, panels, the Ask the Expert Lounge, and networking sessions.
  • Bring a Guest: As a token of our appreciation, each volunteer receives one complimentary General Admission Pass to share with someone in their network.
  • Network Like a VIP: Go behind the scenes alongside founders, speakers, support organizations, and national entrepreneurship leaders, and build connections that last.

We match volunteers with roles that suit your skills and interests. Roles will be assigned in advance, and we aim to rotate where possible so you get a well-rounded experience on the day.

  • Registration Desk: Be the first face attendees see. Help guests check in, answer questions, and set the tone for a great day. Organized, friendly, and people-first.
  • Wayfinding: Keep attendees moving confidently through the venue. You’ll guide guests between the mainstage, lounge, support zone, and pitch competition, making sure no one gets lost.
  • Mainstage Coordinator: Support the flow of keynotes, panels, fireside chats, and workshops. Work closely with the Mainstage Lead and speakers to keep sessions running smoothly and on time.
  • Ask the Expert Lounge Support: Help connect attendees with mentors and subject matter experts for roundtable conversations on topics like marketing, fundraising, technology, and more. Coordinate flow and ensure a seamless experience.
  • Pitch Competition Support: Be part of the energy as local founders pitch their businesses live. Support event flow, timing, and logistics for both the first-round heats and the Top 5 Finals on the Mainstage.
  • Marketing and Communications Support: Capture the day in real time through photos, quotes, social content, and event atmosphere. Help tell the story of Startup Canada Tour as it unfolds.
  • Note Taking: Document key insights and takeaways from sessions throughout the day to support the Tour team’s post-event reporting and content.
  • Event Setup and Teardown: Get things stage-ready before doors open and help wrap everything up at the end of the day. A great fit for detail-oriented and physically energetic volunteers.

  2. Get Matched and Confirmed: Our team will review applications, assign roles, and send you a confirmation with everything you need to know.
  3. Attend Your Briefing Call: You’ll be added to the volunteer group chat and receive a pre-event briefing document and a briefing call invite, so you arrive ready and confident.
  4. Show Up and Show Out: Arrive at 7:45 am, meet the team, and help make Startup Canada Tour unforgettable.
