OTTAWA, ON – October 30, 2023. The Startup Canada Board of Directors and Executive team are pleased to welcome Jamie Savage as the newly appointed Startup Canada Board of Directors Chair. Jamie is the Founder of The Leadership Agency, the recruitment partner of choice for North America’s fastest-growing startups. Joining the Startup Canada Board of Directors in 2021, Jamie brings a deep passion for and understanding of the Canadian startup community and a drive to improve the support ecosystem for early stage founders.
“As a Founder and CEO of a startup, I know firsthand how important the work that Startup Canada is doing, and how important of a community it’s created,” said Jamie Savage. “I am proud to serve as the Chairperson, and together, we will continue to help make Canada the best place in the world to start and operate a business.”
In addition to Jamie’s new appointment, Brenda Halloran will be ending her term as the current Board Chair. Still, she will continue as a Startup Canada’s Board of Directors member. After three years, Melloney Campbell will be ending her time as a member of the Board. Brenda and Melloney have provided their experience, insights, and leadership in growing Startup Canada and its offerings for Canadian entrepreneurs.
