Final Stop: The 2025 Startup Canada Tour Arrives in Mississauga on October 21

On October 21, the Startup Canada Tour heads to Mississauga for a full day of ideas, insights, and inspiration. Entrepreneurs will hear from some of Canada’s most recognized leaders and gain practical strategies to take their businesses to the next level, from powerful founder stories to expert advice on finance, marketing, and mental health. This tour stop is designed to meet entrepreneurs where they are and give them the tools they need to grow.

The day kicks off with dedicated spaces to connect, including a Women’s Breakfast Networking session powered by the Women’s Enterprise Organizations of Canada (WEOC), and an “Elevate and Connect” networking hour that helps all founders start building meaningful relationships right away. Throughout the day, the Entrepreneur Support Zone will be open, offering founders a one-stop hub to meet other entrepreneurs, discover resources, and access programs designed to accelerate their growth.

On stage, attendees will hear from some of Canada’s most recognized entrepreneurial voices. Michele Romanow, one of CBC’s Dragons and Co-Founder of Clearco, will share the unfiltered truth about building a business, while Wes Hall, Founder and CEO of Kingsdale Advisors, will reflect on the power of starting with nothing to becoming one of Canada’s most influential leaders. Jenn Harper, Founder of Cheekbone Beauty, will challenge entrepreneurs to build businesses that drive sustainability and impact, and Mohamad Fakih, Founder and CEO of Paramount Fine Foods, will spotlight the role of immigrant entrepreneurship in shaping Canada’s business landscape.

The agenda balances inspiration with hands-on learning. Panels and fireside chats will tackle critical topics like AI, cybersecurity, and digital tools, mental health and resilience, financing strategies, and building strong marketing foundations. Dedicated mentorship sessions, including those tailored for women-identifying entrepreneurs, give attendees direct access to experts who can help them tackle their most pressing business challenges.

This final stop of the Tour will also host the Startup Global Finals, where a winner from Mississauga’s live pitch competition will join the top founders from this year’s pop-up pitch events across Canada. Together, these entrepreneurs will compete for a share of $70,000 in cash and support, showcasing Canada’s most export-ready businesses on a national stage.

From inspiring stories of grit and leadership to hands-on mentorship, life-changing networking opportunities, and practical strategies, the Mississauga stop of the Startup Canada Tour promises to deliver value for entrepreneurs at every stage.
