About Patti Propp

Patti Propp is a Saskatchewan-based entrepreneur and community builder, and the Founder & Executive Director of the Haywire Farm Festival and Community Inc. After transitioning from city life to living on a rural farm, Patti developed a deep connection to land-based living, food, and community, which led to the creation of her small-batch food business, the Homestead Cannery & Country Store.

Building on that foundation, Patti went on to create the Haywire Farm Festival — a grassroots, multi-day arts and culture festival hosted on her family farm near Nipawin. The festival brings together music, visual arts, food, and hands-on experiences that celebrate creativity, rural life, and community connection. Patti is passionate about supporting local artists, makers, and small businesses, and is committed to creating meaningful opportunities in rural communities. Her work blends agriculture, arts, and community-building to create experiences that are both inspiring and deeply rooted in place.

Patti Propp

Haywire Farm Festival and Community Inc. is a rural Saskatchewan-based arts and culture festival that brings together music, visual arts, local food, and immersive, hands-on experiences on a working family farm. The festival highlights local and emerging artists while creating a unique space for connection, creativity, and community in a rural setting.

Rooted in a passion for both the arts and land-based living, Haywire blends creative programming with agricultural experiences, offering workshops, installations, and community-driven activities that reflect the spirit of the region. What began as a grassroots initiative has grown into a platform that supports artists, makers, and small businesses while contributing to rural economic development and cultural vibrancy.

Haywire is more than a festival — it is a growing community movement focused on fostering creativity, supporting local talent, and creating meaningful experiences that connect people to each other and to the land.
