2021 RevolutionHER™ Awards Celebrates Female Entrepreneurial Talent Across North America

OTTAWA, ON – The winners of the 2021 RevolutionHER™ Awards were announced in favour of Ottawa’s Kayla Isabelle (CEO at Startup Canada), who has been crowned one of North America’s most distinguished impact leaders.

Kayla Isabelle was awarded the 2021 RevolutionHER™ Impact Award in Leadership at this year’s three-day virtual RevolutionHER™ Summit and Awards show, celebrating and recognizing dedicated and impactful women and youth leaders who have persevered and are making a difference in the world today. “I am beyond thankful to be receiving the RevolutionHer™ Leadership Impact Award,” said Kayla Isabelle, CEO at Startup Canada. “Thank you to the incredible Startup Canada team and out Board of Directors for bringing your passion and dedication to supporting entrepreneurs to the table every single day—it’s a privilege to lead such a powerful team.” The RevolutionHER™ Impact Award in Leadership recognizes leaders, volunteers or employees making an impact by leading a movement and/or inspiring a community of peers locally or globally.

With over 1,600 nominations delivered, and 151 entrants advancing to the public voting round which drew over 33,000 public votes within one week, the 24 finalists were narrowed down and carefully selected through a rigorous selection process. Startup Canada would like to extend congratulations to this year’s finalists across the other categories:

  • Ashley Freeborn (Founder and CEO at Smash + Tess): RevolutionHER™ Trailblazer Award in Entrepreneurship for showing dedication and commitment to the community and overall betterment of people and/or planet locally and globally.
  • Suzie Yorke (Founder at Love Good Fats): RevolutionHER™ Impact Award in Entrepreneurship for making an impact by leading in the field and inspiring others locally and globally
  • Autumn Peltier (Anishinabek Nation Chief Water Commissioner): RevolutionHER™ Community Vision Award for Youth for being a female-identifying youth leader working on a project toward the betterment of the future.
  • Avalon Lukacs (Founder and CEO at Aura Inner Beauty): RevolutionHER™ Momentum Award for Small Businesses for showing innovation and leadership in a product or service-based business.
