Intuit Partners with Startup Canada to Advance Entrepreneurship at Startup Day on the Hill

OTTAWA, Nov. 26, 2014 – Intuit, a worldwide leader of business and financial management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses, will join Startup Canada on Nov. 26 as a presenting partner of the second annual Startup Canada Day on the Hill to facilitate collaboration between entrepreneurs and political decision makers.
Expected to draw over 1,000 attendees to the Fairmont Château Laurier, the event will bring Canada’s top entrepreneurs, investors, and government decision makers together to promote policies that advance innovation and entrepreneurship in Canada.

Throughout the event, Intuit and Startup Canada will make a number of announcements that will positively impact Canada’s local startup communities and the national entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The day-long event is punctuated with keynote talks from leading entrepreneurs, meetings with Members of Parliament, live mentorship, and focus groups that will contribute to the formation of policy recommendations in the areas of: entrepreneur support, education, finance, mentorship, acceleration, innovation, growth, global markets, social enterprise, and newcomer, women, youth, and aboriginal entrepreneurship.
The day will conclude with a celebratory reception where entrepreneurs from across Canada showcasing and selling their innovative products.
