"Strength in Youth". The focus of this event for PEI High School Students will take a look at first steps toward starting their own business.Thoughout the day, speaker sessions will address the issues/challenges facing young people in taking their first steps in overcoming fear, risk, finances, etc. The theme for this year conference is “…Get me started”. Duncan Shaw, Founder of Cogsdale and co-owner of the S’Side Storm Professional Basketball team, will be the guest speaker during a noon luncheon sponsored by business development supporters. The day will begin with an interactive workshop with serial entrepreneur Rivers Corbett, 2 presentations and a panel of local young entrepreneurs. The Forum will conclude on with entertainment, networking and an evaluation. There will be exhibit space with the focus on training opportunities to support young Island entrepreneurs.
