Kirk is the founding executive director of Innovation Guelph. He is also principal and co-founder of Tyrcathlen Partners, providing strategic advice to early and late stage companies and investment funds. From 1996 – 2010 he served as a division president and corporate executive vice president at Open Text Corporation. In 1987 he founded and subsequently served as the chief executive of one of Canada’s first on-line services and social enterprises. Kirk has a degree in Environmental Studies and Political Science from the University of Toronto and has been active in a range of local, national and international non-profit and arts organizations.
