Kathy Hambly joined the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce as Executive Director in January of 2005. A member of the Charlottetown Chamber since 1978, Kathy served on the Board from 1996-2003, and was President in 2002.

 

Before assuming her current position with the Chamber, Kathy served as the Director of Marketing and Development for the Confederation Centre of the Arts for eight years.

 

Kathy has served as the Co-coordinator of the Small Business Centre at Holland College and as a Learning Manager in the College’s Business Administration Program as well as a sessional lecturer at the University of Prince Edward Island.

 

Keenly interested in small business and entrepreneurship, Kathy operated her own retail clothing business in Charlottetown, Katherine's, from 1978-1995. She has mentored countless women is business over the years and was involved in the first Women in Business Association on PEI. 

 

Kathy is an active volunteer in the community.  She currently serves on the Board of Governors for Holland College and is past-Chair. She is the recipient of the Outstanding Achievement Award for her work on the Board of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of PEI; a former board member of Junior Achievement of PEI; a long-time board member of the Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce; and has volunteered with countless other community groups and industry associations.

 

Kathy received an MBA and a BSC from Dalhousie University.
