
Jenelle Sobey is currently the Partner Relations Manager for the New Brunswick Business Council (NBCC). Joining the NBCC in 2010, with passion and enthusiasm for building a competitive and successful economy in New Brunswick. Ms. Sobey is responsible for creating and fostering partnerships for the NBBC.
With a strong interest in nurturing a culture of individual and community learning, Ms. Sobey has served as Program Director and now as a Board Member with the Learning Disabilities Association of New Brunswick, Social Media Coordinator with the New Brunswick Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Research Analyst for the Federation of New Brunswick Faculty Associations, teaching and research assistant at the University of New Brunswick and a facilitator for the NB2026 Learning Initiative’s public dialogues on the culture of learning in NB.
Whether it is founding the children’s swim team at the YMCA, active steering committee member in establishing the Greater Fredericton Volunteer Centre or donating her time to the Canadian Red Cross, volunteering has always been an important and crucial component of Ms Sobey’s professional development. Ms. Sobey has international experience working in the USA and completing a component of her BA in London, England in highly competitive political science program.
Ms. Sobey has lived most of her life in Fredericton, New Brunswick. She holds a BA from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia as well as a MA from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton.
