
Freyja Arnason is a project coordinator with Science, Innovation and Business Development (SIBD), a branch of Manitoba’s department of Innovation, Energy and Mines. Freyja works as part of a team to build capacity in Manitoba’s Information and Communications Technologies, Digital Media and Life Sciences sectors, and to provide support to the provincial research community. She works to foster an environment that supports many facets of the Science and Technology industries in Manitoba by providing advisory support and liaising between government and the research and business communities.
Freyja has a Master of Arts Degree in Political Studies from the University of Manitoba, where she wrote a thesis in Aboriginal health policy under her advisor, Dr. Paul Thomas. She lives in Winnipeg, Manitoba with her husband and two young children.
