At the B.C. Innovation Council, Dean is spearheading the development of programs to support tech entrepreneurs and startups in B.C. An operator with senior roles in four tech startups and one mid-sized software company over the past 15 years in Ottawa, Washington D.C., Silicon Valley and Vancouver, Dean has a deep background in sales, business development, marketing, product management and business strategy.

He is also a technology marketing instructor at BCIT, a mentor with BCIC New Ventures Competition and serves on the board of the Kids Up Front Foundation Vancouver. Dean earned an Executive MBA from the University of Ottawa in 1997.
