
Brian brings to his role of Executive Director of the Entrepreneur with Disabilities Network a varied career that has included 14 years of running his own businesses, 15 years as a provider of services supporting entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs, and 24 various “other jobs”.
Brian’ business ventures have included 3 years as a street vendor selling frozen whipped bananas in downtown Toronto, 7 years as a multi-line sales rep throughout Atlantic Canada, almost two years selling coffee door to door in rural southwestern Ontario, and two years running a café in Mahone Bay.
As a business service provider, Brian, with associates, has developed and delivered entrepreneurship training to over 2,000 teachers, facilitators, and entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs in Nova Scotia, North West Territories, Serbia, Bosnia, Albania, and the Republic of Macedonia. As a service provider to entrepreneurs he has experienced and understands many of the intricacies involved in effectively serving entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs with disabilities.
Brian sits on various Boards and Committees, including TEAMWork Cooperative, Moving in New Directions Society, Accessible Nova Scotia, The Centre for Entrepreneurship Education and Development’s Loan Review Committee, the Halifax Regional Municipality Advisory Committee for Persons with Disabilities, and the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education’s Disability Roundtable.
