Startup Canada Day on the Hill is the most influential entrepreneurship event in Canada. More than 1,000 people attend annually, including some of Canada’s top entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, media personalities and government decision makers. The program is filled with meaningful government roundtables, media interviews, fireside discussions, TED-style keynotes, entrepreneur bootcamps, on-site mentorship, and an evening ‘Startup Soiree’, showcasing entrepreneurs and their products from across Canada.
2014 Headline Speakers included:
WHAT: In 2014 the morning program featured bootcamps for entrepreneurs, startups, community builders and policy makers. The afternoon featured fireside interviews syncing ministers and seniors government officials with entrepreneurs, investors and industry leaders. The day topped off with a celebratory reception with entrepreneurs from across Canada showcasing and selling their innovative products. Each year, the day is punctuated with keynote talks from leading entrepreneurs, meetings with Members of Parliament, live mentorship and advisory support, and focus groups that contribute to the formation of recommendations in the areas of: entrepreneur support, education, finance, mentorship, acceleration, innovation, growth, global markets, social enterprise, and newcomer, women, youth and aboriginal entrepreneurship.
