At a fundamental level, starting a business, sole proprietorship, non-profit or social enterprise requires much of the same knowledge, skills and understanding. However, Canadian entrepreneurs continue to struggle with navigating the ecosystem and finding the support they need.
Startup Connect will be Canada’s central online place for entrepreneurs to plug into support to take their venture to the next level at any stage of their entrepreneurial journey – e.g. funding, mentorship, training, networks, space, events, etc. It will be free, highly social, comprehensive, personalized and underpinned by living startup communities on the ground – built by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. Startup Connect will be a critical tool in every Canadian entrepreneurs’ toolkit.
This initiative is a response to the call-to-action from more than 20,000 entrepreneurs in 40 communities who made their voices heard during the Startup Canada National Tour last year, calling for a single doorway to access support and other entrepreneurs to accelerate their growth and success.
