Funds-commAbout the Fund

The Startup Canada Community Investment Fund invests in critical high-impact, entrepreneur-driven initiatives in grassroots Startup Canada Communities across the country. The Fund serves to fuel the growth of an environment and culture for entrepreneurial growth and success, fostering new opportunities and greater connectivity of entrepreneurs to support, investment, customers, and supply chains.

Funds are awarded to official Startup Canada Communities that can demonstrate their ability to execute a project that will enhance entrepreneur connectivity in Canada. Project examples may include ecosystem mapping, an entrepreneurship conference, developing a co-working space or establishing an entrepreneurial scholarship fund, among others.
